There is something truly magical about cracking open a book written by someone who has walked the same streets, enjoyed the same local coffee, and braved the same Michigan winters as you. At The Midnight Chapter, we believe that while the “BookTok” sensations are great, the true heart of our community lies in the stories being written right here in our own backyard.

We are officially on the hunt for local authors to feature on our shelves and host in our cozy corner of Albion.

Why We’re Looking for You

When we support local creators, we do more than just sell books – we strengthen the community and create a home for imagination. There is nothing quite like being able to connect with an author’s process, inspiration, and favorite local haunts.

Scheduling Author Events

We’ve been hard at work curating our inventory, but we are starting to turn our attention to the event calendar for the rest of the year. We are looking for authors who are interested in:

• In-store book signings and readings
• Themed book launch parties
• Hosting or guest-appearing at book clubs
